Wind Appraisals

A wind appraisal is the first, low cost step in assessing the value of your property for a potential wind generator. Our appraisals have been developed to provide a fast quantitative review of the site, in order to allow the owner to take further steps, such as an Engineering study or Permitting.

Appraisals will use published wind maps to estimate the wind potential of the site in order to:

•Quantify potential savings or energy production on specific properties
• Determine or justify further development
• Compare the production of different size turbines that best suit your property
• See simple paybacks and ROI
• Spotlight ‘fatal flaws’ early.

Appraisals can be done by many of our qualified Aeronautica Affiliates, such as Developers Marketing Services, and usually take about 10 days to produce.  You can see a sample appraisal and flyer here.

Permitting/Engineering

In many areas we have assembled teams of qualified contractors who know how to engineer your project and take it through the entire permitting process.

Permitting and engineering review of a wind project requires certain skills and background information that typical engineering firms just don't have. Studies may be needed that include noise, flicker, photorealistic simulations and more. From an engineering study you should be able to fully price out a specific project including foundations and utility interconnections, and understand any potential problems that may arise.

Installation

While smaller wind turbines can perhaps be installed by homeowners or local mechanics, our mid-scale turbines need to be installed by qualified, experienced professionals. That is the nature of our dealer and approved installer network. These experienced professionals provide local expertise to get your turbine up and running quickly.

If you are interested in obtaining the name of a local installer or dealer, email or call us today.

Service

Our national dealer network provides local service capabilities in order to keep your turbine in tip top shape. In order to get maximum effectiveness from your turbine, it must run thousands of hours every year, for over 20 years. The only way to get that kind of production from a mechanical piece of equipment is to service it regularly.

Our national network of dealers provides service agreements (O&M contracts) for all of our wind turbines. They can make annual or multi-year plans available upon request.

Financing

There are several ways to finance your wind project. And since the primary continued expense associated with a turbine project is the cost of capital, we suggest that you shop for a plan that best fits your needs. Aeronautica can provide both lease and purchase programs through affiliated lenders.

In addition, we can offer a turnkey installation program complete with service under our Power Play program. Instead of buying the turbine yourself, we will bring investors to the table who will provide the financing required. We arrange a Power Purchase Agreement with you to sell you the power generated from the turbine at a discount and for long term periods of time so that you can budget for your electricity better than ever before. In short, you put up the land, and we'll put up the turbine.
